What is a FROG?

– Confident independent swimmers

– Small group class of 4

– Can produce basic freestyle arms and backstroke kicking unassisted

– Can swim to a teacher easily propelling themselves through the water

Frog swimming lessons focus on strengthening a child’s swimming technique while continuing to keep lessons engaging through fun activities and games. During this level, swimmers work on developing both freestyle and backstroke skills while improving coordination, body position, and overall confidence in the water. A key focus of the Frog class is introducing and practicing independent bilateral breathing, which helps swimmers maintain rhythm, balance, and control while moving through the water. As children continue to build endurance and technique, they become more comfortable swimming longer distances with proper form. Once a swimmer can perform bilateral breathing and backstroke independently, they are ready to advance to the Stingray class, where they will begin learning additional strokes and more advanced swimming skills.



Our children required a lot of patience to overcome their fear of the water and the entire team has been great with providing consistent instruction and care! We enjoy watching our oldest master a variety of advanced swim strokes, and his love for the water has grown. I'm confident when he is near or in the pool for leisure because he has gotten so comfortable and efficient in swimming. He wanted to quit a few times but we're so glad we stayed the course to watch him turn that corner to not just learn but also love swimming.  This learning experience has been so rewarding for him.  Our toddler enjoys swim lessons but is still building trust for the water. I appreciate that each child gets the attention and care and encouragement they need for where they are on their swim journey.

My then 6.5yr old daughter was unable to swim and scared of water without a puddle jumper on. It took only THREE lessons before she knew the basics of how to swim on her own. She also had realized quickly that with the right training and guidance to know what to do in the water, it was not something she had to be afraid of. By mid summer of 2024, she heard talk of a competitive swim team. By this point, my daughter had developed a love for swimming. We kept up with lessons and moved up in skill classes. May 2025 we joined Jump! Swim’s Summer Swim League the Marlin’s. This just fostered the love for swimming even further. My daughter has now graduated lessons and joined an all year round swim league. We cannot brag about Jump! Swim enough. They have the best teachers, structure, and way of teaching. Mrs. Virginia and Mr. Jim are fantastic and always willing to help and encourage the kids in anyway they can. We will never forget that Jump! Swim influenced my daughter’s love for swimming. She was given the inspiration to work hard and become the swimmer she is today!!

Our 4yr old has always loved the water, but needed guidance on how to swim safely and to know what to do if ever she fell in. The instructors have been wonderful! I was nervous due to childhood trauma but quickly overcame it with her guidance. I learned to swim in only 2 lessons. I will be signing my daughters up next.
