Skill Based Classes
Marlin Swimming Lessons
Marlins
In our Marlin stroke development class, children learn all four strokes and gain endurance swimming multiple laps of the pool. By the time children graduate from this class, they will be able to competently and independently perform all four strokes.
What are Marlins?
– Small group class of 5
Marlin stroke development lessons are designed for swimmers who are ready to refine their technique and build stronger, more advanced swimming skills. Classes continue to include fun activities and engaging challenges while focusing on improving stroke development in freestyle and backstroke. Swimmers also begin learning the techniques for butterfly and breaststroke, helping them expand their skills across all four competitive swimming strokes. Instructors work closely with students to improve timing, coordination, and body position so each stroke becomes more efficient and controlled. As swimmers progress through the Marlin level, a strong emphasis is placed on developing endurance and refining technique so they can swim longer distances with confidence. Through consistent practice and skill-building exercises, swimmers gain the strength and coordination needed to perform all four strokes effectively. By the time a child graduates from the Marlin class, they will be confidently swimming freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, preparing them to move on to a swim squad program at another facility where they can continue advancing their competitive swimming abilities.
